  25.      ‚Ä¢ Use the Field tool to select a field and then cut
  26.         and paste in the same way you do pictures or
  27.         buttons.

Cutting or copying a field cuts or copies any font, size, or style choices you've set.  Cutting a field removes its text (because there's no longer a container for it) but doesn't place the field's text on the Clipboard for subsequent pasting.  Copying a field doesn't copy its text either.  Use the Browse tool to cut and paste text.
